Summary
She knew her husband's first wife had loved the house.
After years of living there, raising a family, and making every room her own, the home naturally carried memories of the life she'd left behind. The new wife never wanted to erase any of that. She simply hoped to add a few touches that reflected the life she and her husband were beginning together.
But the house seemed to have other ideas.
Every time she rearranged a room, moved a favorite chair, or added something of her own, the changes never seemed to last. Furniture quietly returned to familiar places. Pictures shifted. Decorations refused to stay where she'd left them. At first, the little changes seemed easy to dismiss.
Until both she and her husband realized the house only seemed to object to one person's ideas.
