That is a very real and tangible way that you can encourage someone in their faith and

encourage you to do it today.

All right, today as we move into advent day number 15, we're going to look at a passage

in 1st Peter chapter 2 verses 5 through 9 and this passage is Peter describing for

us who we have become because of our faith in Jesus Christ and that may not sound like

it's a Christmas or a hinted passage.

But what I want you to notice in this passage is the Old Testament scriptures that Peter

refers to.

It's in verse 6, we're going to get to it in just a moment, but he refers to Jesus as

a stone, a cornerstone, a precious cornerstone and the effect that comes from having a heart

that trusts in him.

All right, so we're going to read the passage and then we'll talk about it a bit.

So you yourselves, like living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house to be
