Summary

The world tells us to always practice good morals and to do the right thing. There is nothing wrong with this; however, we cannot achieve morality without Jesus. Our motives matter; the mistake many people make is trying to live moral lives for others’ approval, instead of for God’s approval. It is impossible to live the kind of morally upright lives God wants for us without His grace. Doing good through self-effort simply to please others is a temporary motivation that will not last; doing good because the Holy Spirit has shed God’s love in our hearts is what He really wants to see. The life produced by the teachings of grace not only has the outward manifestation, but also the right attitude toward God. Trusting Him to work in us and change us on the inside, until everything we do is motivated by love, elevates us to a level we cannot reach on our own.

0:26.4	gonna talk about morality motivated by know, the rewards you get from being moral to talking about the things you do that's motivated by the grace of God and the love of God.
0:46.7	See if you're not careful you'll become this good moral person without Jesus. good is it to achieve a high standard of
0:55.0	and to me what good is it to achieve a high standard of morality but to do that with the wrong attitude or to think well
1:10.2	I'm moral and in a lot of cases you're moral so you can gain the
1:18.0	congratulations of other people in other words there's the motivation behind being moral is that, you know, you get validated for being moral, morally right.
1:29.0	And then people say to you then, you know, you ought to do what you do out of just being a good moral person but this is so
1:37.0	much more. And so today I call this living life on a divine plane. There is a divine level of living
1:48.3	that Grace wants to take us to that will produce outstanding life.
1:57.4	But we've got to understand that there is a difference,
2:00.4	you know.
2:01.6	You remember a while back people would say well why do I need to be
2:07.4	saved I'm good and what they were saying was why do I need to be saved I'm morally good and you remember the response in those days yeah but good without God doesn't count that is still absolutely the truth today.
2:23.0	What's the motivation behind that?
2:25.0	So in Philippines chapter 1 and 6 he says being confident of this very thing
2:31.0	that he which has begun a good work in you will
2:35.5	perform it until the day of Jesus Christ in the NLT, again it identifies that God is the one that's working he says and I am certain
2:48.5	that God who began the good work within you will continue his work until it is finally finished
