You've got to put faith with what God wants you to do. You got to obey God.

You got to believe God and that's what this is saying. And then in verse three it says,

for we which have believed do enter into rest as he said as I have sworn in

my wrath and this goes back and begins to quote from Psalms chapter 95 and this was also quoted in chapter 3 again if I had time to put this in context

it'd make more sense if you took the whole thing in context but in the third chapter he quoted from Psalms 95 and he says today as it is written if you

will hear his voice hard and not your hearts as it was in the provocation when your

fathers tempted me and proved me and saw my works 40 years.

Wherefore I was grieved with that generation and said they are a group of people that always

air in their heart and they will not enter into my rest.

All of those things were quoted in the third chapter.

So now here he is, once again, making reference back to this scripture

that David wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

That's what he's talking about in verse 3.

He says, if they shall enter into my rest, although the works were finished from the

foundation of the world. Now this is linking this

rest that Psalms 95 spoke about to the Sabbath rest that God took in

Genesis chapter one and chapter two after he created the heavens and the earth it says he rested

From all of his works and it's and it's making this linkage right here in this third verse in verse

in verse four he says for he's
