First Thessalonians chapter 2, verse 4.

But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted

with the glad tidings of the gospel, so we speak

not to please men, but to please God. I have to tell you that to the very

best of my ability, when I come up here, I do believe that I say whatever God puts in my mouth.

And probably sometimes that's why it's a bit like, see, I started in the beginning watching the people that didn't look real good.

People who decided to leave, people who were looking at their watches, people that were yawning.

You know, if I come with my own message, I can put everybody to sleep.

But I really believe if we will, not in a belligerent, obnoxious kind of way, but just to start

making a commitment. I can almost feel you guys thinking, oh my God, what does this mean for my life?

See, it's really kind of sad when you get right down to it that we could sit here tonight

and say, I know I'm doing things that doesn't please God. Aren't you glad you came tonight?

Because you see, here's the thing. The reason why I'm bold enough to say this is because the more we please God, the happier we are. It's like, yes, you may give up

something on the fleshly side, but you get something in the spiritual

side of your life and I do believe that I think the higher that we come up
