In Jewish eschatology, biblical eschatology, invisible means we don't see it yet.

It doesn't mean there's invisible stuff that we're talking about that's better than visible

stuff.

It hasn't yet been consummated, so it's not visible.

I hear, I go to church and I hear there's one holy Catholic and apostolic church.

I don't quite see it.

I go to church and I hear my old self is dead and now I'm alive in Christ, but wow, I

just, I don't know, I gotta hear that again.

We have these promises that are given to us, that we can hold on to, but one day we won't

have any promises.

We won't have any preaching, we won't have any sacraments.

We won't hold on to anything tangible as a pledge of God's fulfillment of his promise

because it will be fulfilled.

It'll just, it'll be all fulfillment.

I think this is what Paul's getting at then at the end of 1 Corinthians 13, which I've

decided, by the way, 1 Corinthians 13 should not be read at weddings.

It should be read at funerals, it's a wonderful funeral text and concludes with this.

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face.

Now I know in part, then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

Now we know by faith, we hear, then we will see, and I love what you said, Mike, the invisible

is just what we don't see yet.

It will come.
