Summary

In this motivational talk, Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi culminates the other major battles that were fought under the able leadership of and during the reign of Umar ibn Al-Khattab RA. Dr. Qadhi discusses the conquest to conquer the capital city of the Persian Empire which was by far the largest and most populous city at the time - Tesifon (Al-Madain). The intriguing aspect of this conquest was that it was achieved in the absence of an actual battle. Also mentioned in this video are the critical details of the battle of Nahawand in 640CE, 21 AH, which is often nicknamed as the "Conquest of all Conquests." We are also made to reflect on the astonishing fact that this mighty superpower - the Sassanid Empire that was ruling over the world since time immemorial, was annihilated in a matter of just ten years at the hands of our powerful and great Sahabas RA.
