Hello, my beautiful family. You are about to tap into part seven of our parable sermon series.

We're speaking around this thought. Live with eternity in mind. All throughout the fabric of

scriptures, especially the Gospels, you'll see Jesus keep on referencing the kingdom of heaven

and then also the reality of hell. And today, we're going to have to talk about it.

It's going to be sobering, but it's needed for well-rounded Christianity.

Let's go.

James Chapter 4, verse 13, is where we're going to start our foundational reading before we

continue the conversation that we did not complete last week. James chapter 4 verse 13, it says,

come now. You who say today are tomorrow, we will go to such and such a city. Spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit,

whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor. No one is cold outside. You see your breath for a second,

then it's gone. This is what your life is like. For what is your life? It is even a vapor

that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead, you ought to say,

if the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that. But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. Let's go old school for a second. Let's all

reverse 16 together. Everybody said together, but now you boast in your arrogance, all such boasting is evil.

Let that marinate for a moment.

Sit with that for a second.

Don't just breeze past that.

Because most of the time when we think of evil,

we think things that are evil like murder, hatred, bigotry,

racism, rape, manipulative behavior, abuse.

But there is a whole other type of evil that we're seeing in this text.

There was a whole other type of evil that you don't really hear a lot of sermons about.
