And since we filmed that episode, we referenced the trial that's ongoing. Well, since we filmed it, the trial has ended.

I think so. The jury found that Live

Nation and Ticketmaster violated antitrust laws and acted as an illegal monopoly. So I want to

spend a few minutes covering the key elements of the trial, and then we will bring you back

to the main episode. So during the trial, this is a civil trial,

so criminal trial, no one's going to jail.

But the civil trial was originally brought

by both of the Department of Justice

and a couple dozen states.

Department of Justice settled for a light tickle on the wrist.

Which now we know the outcome, by the way,

is extra annoying because it's like, obviously

you had a case here.

Right.

Yep.

But Trump was like, you know, well, you'll learn in the episode how close the Trump administration

is with Live Nation and Ticketmaster, of course.

And the states were like, no, we're fucking keep going, right?

So the trial took a pause and the states decided to continue on because of the mountain

of evidence that they had in their favor.
