2023 and I'm the host of the show, Dr. Cara Santa Maria.

And it has been a whirlwind since I finally defended my dissertation, completed my internship, and was officially granted my PhD.

I've got the diploma in the mail to prove it.

Now I just got to get a frame. It's been a while so I just I'm going to catch you up on my life before we dive

into the episode in case you're curious maybe or not but I'll keep it brief.

So I finished my PhD officially on August 31st, and for a little over a month I was traveling

in Europe and the UK.

I also was doing this long road trip

from Florida back to Los Angeles, but I stopped to visit my folks in Texas along the way.

And so it's been, I've been a little bit rudderless.

There are people, there are tenants living in my house. I've been a little bit rudderless.

There are people, there are tenants living in my house in LA, so I haven't been home, like actually home,

in well over a year.

I'm actually staying with friends currently.

My road trip has been really fun.
