In chapter 33 of Pride and Prejudice, Lizzie starts running into Darcy on walks.

She has this one path that she likes a lot, and so she tells Darcy, dude, I walk you

a lot.

She assumes that this means that he'll pick a different route, but he doesn't.

But know what?

Lizzie doesn't change her route either, so they just keep running into each other.

One day, she runs into Colonel Fitzwilliam instead of Darcy, and the two fall into easy

conversation, like always.

They discuss two very important things.

One is that Fitzwilliam makes clear that he can't afford to marry Lizzie.

He makes himself sound poor, to which Lizzie responds that he's only poor for the son

of an oral.

He laughs and agrees that it's true, he's gotten used to a certain lifestyle, and will

need a rich woman to keep him in that lifestyle, as he is a second son.
