something you did or said to get someone to like you?

I once I met Paul Figue once and I thought I thought I thought this ahead of time I

thought it would impress him because people go out to famous people and they'll

say things, oh you're my favorite actor and I thought everyone just they must get used

to hearing you're you're my favorite this you're my favorite them people don't believe

it and I said something to him that I thought he would know it was genuine because why

would I make it up which was I told him that Freaks and Geeks was my second favorite

TV show of all time and I realized it make it sound more real I'd be like he'd know

it was true because why would you make that up and what I realized as I said it I saw

like the light in his eyes kind of went out as he realized that he'd lost a contest that

he had no idea he was part of and it didn't matter and I was oh that's what you just say

you're my favorite you're my favorite and then I tried explaining to him and it was too late

I realized oh that's why I like I don't know what's number one it was arrested development

and then I was like oh but you directed episodes of my favorite and I thought that would

help but I was like no it just didn't didn't yeah we cut to an autographed line
