I'm Gretchen Ruben and this is a little happier. One of the annoying things about me is I am cold all the time.

I am cold in the height of summer and I am certainly cold all through the winter.

And so when I'm walking around even inside my apartment, I'm really, really heavily dressed.

And so I was walking through the apartment the other day and I had on yoga pants, but I had on

long underwear under my yoga pants. I was wearing a very thick wool sweater and over that I was

wearing the Uniclo vest that I waxed poetically about in episode 98, my Uniclo vest that I love

that helps to keep me warm. I was wearing my finger tipplest gloves, which I love because my

hands are always really, really cold. So I wear finger tipplest gloves all day long.

So I'm walking around the house in this outfit. So it is not a high fashion moment for me.

And I walk into the room to wear my daughter, Eleanor, my 11-year-old is sitting doing her homework.

And she looks up at me and she goes, wow, Mom, you look like Han Solo.

And I thought, okay, I don't look ridiculous. I look like Han Solo.

And she gave me a whole new way to think about the way I dress.

Sometimes with just one comment, we can help other people to see themselves differently.
