How's it going, Baves? Happy Friday. I am coming to you from the past. It is Thursday today. And I woke up at 4 o'clock AM. I like to record on Fridays. I told you guys that I love to record my little leader's day of so that we can talk about everything for the week, but we're close enough.

I woke up at 4 o'clock this morning to take somebody to LAX and I am not somebody that can go back to sleep very much not my vibe. I've talked about it on here before too. I also am very, very bad at taking naps. It just doesn't work for me ever. I nine times out of 10 will wake up feeling sick and panicked and confused.

So we're just running on very few hours of sleep, I think like probably three and a half total. And I said, hey, let me sit down and record a little leader because honestly, why not? We get to be casual on Fridays. We have casual Fridays over here on cold leader, but I did get a lot done this morning, the afternoon right now.

We're running on two cups of coffee. We also had an iced latte with an extra shot in it and a shits on of water. Don't worry, we're pacing ourselves, but we're just trying to keep it going. I also have to record obituary tonight. So we really got to amp it up. We're going full steam ahead.

When I got home from the airport drop off, I was like, okay, everybody has been messaging me for the past, you know, 24 hours, 48 hours. I'm not sure when it came out about this new show on Netflix or this new docus series called sins of our mother, which is all about the Lori ballot Chad daybell saga.

I was like, oh my god, you need to talk about this. We need you to watch it. So I sat down this morning, soon as I got home and I turned it on and I watched the first episode and I want to talk all about it. I've only watched the first one. So I'm just adding that discretion there. First of all, very lifetime movie name, right, sins of our mother. I went into it. I don't know. I've talked about this recently. I feel like they're just making fucking docuseries about everything now.

I really wasn't expecting a lot, but I thought it was really well done. The first scene in the show is police cam footage of officers going up to Charles Valow. And he's like, I don't know what she did with my kids. I don't know what's going on. It immediately cuts to a scene where Lori Valow's son Colby is talking about opening up the door when police arrived one day and they're like, are Tylee and JJ there. And he's like, what? My sister Tylee? I don't know what you're talking about.

And he talks about that moment when he called his mom Lori and she's like, I don't know what to tell you. I'll figure it out. And then she sends him this email just like, don't worry about anything. Like, we're safe. Don't worry. If you're not super familiar with the case, I've covered a few episodes on it. There's a ton of information out there.

I feel like there was national coverage of this case. So I feel like you probably know it's really interesting to see Janice Lori's mom and Colby sit down in one of the scenes. They're going through pictures.

And he's saying, it's really hard for me to look at this stuff. I don't really want to keep any of these pictures. And Lori's mom is just like, well, you might want to one day. And I have no problem keeping them.

They talk about their difficulties in regards to their relationship with Lori, both as her mom and as her son. Her mom is like, I have to kind of separate the two Lori's in my head.

She makes it clear that there's like a definitive line for her of like, this is the Lori that I knew and loved before. And this is just another person, which I would imagine is probably the same for a lot of family members.

We've seen it. There's been like documentaries and podcasts from family members of serial killers or people who have committed a crime or murder who say, that's my dad.

I remember it was John Wayne Gacy. I believe his sister appeared on a talk show. And I remember talking about this, I think in the episode.

She was on this talk show and she's like, at the end of the day, that's my brother. And it's like, even if you hate this person or you hate what this person did, if they're a family member, there's probably a really fucked up psychological effect happening at the time.

I haven't lived that experience. So we'll just listen to those who have, which we get to a lot during this show or this series.

Lori's mom talks about what life was like briefly for Lori and her two brothers growing up as well as their younger sister. And she's like, we raised them Mormon.

Lori always had like a special affinity for the scriptures. And Lori's dad, Barry, is interviewed in this as well. And I hadn't really heard him speak before.

But he also talked about how Lori really took more of a liking to the religion from a very young age. And sorry if we're bouncing around here, that's kind of how it's shot.
