Hello and welcome back to Cult Leader. I'm your Cult Leader Spencer Henry and this is our 10th little leader where I share listener stories and catch you up on the creepiness.

Now I made a post in the Facebook group yesterday. If you haven't joined it, you can just search Cult Leader podcast on Facebook and click join.

I think you have to answer some questions. There's mods, they'll accept it. But just to catch the rest of you up, I have spent the past week working on research for the next few episodes, six of them to be precise and writing the outlines, putting together the timelines, gathering my notes.

Hence why there was no new episode on Monday. I was just on this kind of like really good role and I didn't want to fuck it up by like stopping and recording.

I wanted to just kind of be able to bang it all out at once. So we will be back to our regularly scheduled programming this Monday. I don't have anything too exciting to report. Still home. I'm on I think day 24 of being home and I know a lot of you are home as well.

For those of you that are not I'm still sending good vibes all of our essential worker cult babes near and far and I'm hoping that everything is back to normal sooner than later. But we don't know.

Also don't watch the news. Don't read the paper. It's all hyping it up. It is very serious but make sure that you're getting your information from credible sources.

If you want to learn more or fact check anything in regards to COVID-19 or the coronavirus just go to wh0.int or Google the World Health Organization because they have all the real true things that you need to see.

But enough of that. Let's get to our first story. I have two really good stories for you guys today. This first one is from a Bay Area cult babes named Maeve and it's perfect. So her emails pretty short into the point which I love.

But I'm gonna elaborate it a little further afterwards because the story actually like really caught my attention. They wrote high Spencer. I've been listening to cult leader for a while now.

And I finally found the courage and an engaging story to send to you. I'm also from the Bay Area and I thought this would be a fun little tidbit of news that you may or may not have heard of.

I did a little research on this but I was 9 years old in living in Piedmont when this happened. And Piedmont just for you guys who don't know, it's in the Oakland Hills. It's a super pretty area. The houses are really cool. It's like one of my favorite areas ever.

Also home to the Mountain View Cemetery in Piedmont which is my absolute favorite cemetery like bury me there or don't bury me at all and keep me in your house. You'll see.

So Piedmont, California. There was a lady found in a Piedmont home pretty close to where I live who was decomposing for years in the foyer.

The daughter would come by from time to time to do gardening work, pick up the mail, do house chores, but the neighbors grew concerned because they hadn't seen the 86 year old mother of this woman in a while.

She just stopped going outside and so the daughter would tell them like her mom was sick but okay. So then the police came by. They found a body decomposing in the foyer. It's like psycho and Mrs. Bates just sitting in a chair.

And when the police questioned the daughter, she denied knowing it and didn't have any charges pressed against her and then get this a year later ran for Piedmont City Council under a plan for better elder care like what?

Lady, you're insane. Anyways, I thought you'd get a kick out of that.
