Listener email, that's what we're going to do today. Welcome to Walking is Fitness. This is a podcast of action providing a little extra motivation to help you keep that fitness promise you made to yourself.

Hi, I'm Dave. I've been walking for fitness since 2013, averaging about 21,000 steps a day.

I'm sort of walking right now and would love to have you join me for the next 10 minutes.

I actually will be walking, but at the moment, I'm staring at this gorgeous sunrise.

And I think the color that I'm seeing is coral. It's beautiful. It's also, for the first time,

in months, I have on a long-sleeve hoodie.

In part, because I'm heading for this wooded trail that I really enjoy in the mosquitoes here have been horrific.

And so a little bit of protection for my arms. They don't look like a buffet for these mosquitoes.

It's also a little cooler about 10 degrees cooler than normal and that feels great.

There's also for me just a touch of sadness because this is maybe the beginning of the slow decline out of summer.

I love summer.

But I love summer and it's always a little sad when summer's coming to Annette.

And it'll be interesting to see how active the mosquitoes are.

Thursday did an episode about the benefit of potential benefit of more years to our lives because of exercise.
