Summary
We’re back! Catherine and David catch up and discuss what’s been happening since the Australian Open, including Andy Murray’s comeback in Montpellier, titles for Iga Swiatek and David Goffin, the latest Hall of Fame nominations, and tweets from John Isner about the ATP being a ‘broken system’.
Then, in part two, we dive into some listener questions, chosen by guest editor Simon Pearce. Is percentage of second serves won the most underrated but critical statistic in tennis? Who would be involved in our ultimate mixed doubles match? What role did tennis play in rescuing David from the Lost Law Years? Should the tours be regionalised post pandemic to make the sport more economically viable? And should women play best-of-five sets at majors?
The Tennis Podcast is presented by Catherine Whitaker and David Law, and features Matt Roberts. It is produced weekly year-round, and daily during the Grand Slam tournaments.

| 0:40.3 | to answering your listener questions, ably curated by our guest editor for the week Simon Pierce. |
| 0:47.9 | And we're always, we're always somewhat bold over by the quality of the curation we get from our |
| 0:53.4 | guest editors. But I really, I don't, I don't want to set the bar too high because we've still got |
| 0:59.3 | to record it and live up to what I'm about to say. But these are top notch questions. I would say David. |
| 1:05.9 | I would agree and Simon Pierce is somebody whose emails are eagerly open when they arrive. I have to say, |
| 1:14.2 | I find it very entertaining generally. And I think he's also a similar, similar vintage to me as well, |
| 1:19.6 | which I really appreciate. Who's emails you less eagerly open? Who's named you seeing go, oh, |

| 1:39.2 | you know, one or two might fall into that, that category. There are one or two tennis tournaments |
| 1:45.2 | that though very well intentioned and I don't want to criticise the, the efforts to keep us abreast |
| 1:52.3 | of all pertinent information, but perhaps their assessment of what is pertinent information |
| 1:59.0 | to the media and requires its own dedicated email might be a bit loose. |
| 2:05.4 | Yes, we do agree with that. But we do love the enthusiasm. Yeah. And we welcome all emails. |
| 2:13.0 | Just some may take longer than others to respond to. But there we are. |
| 2:17.3 | The signings are great. Yes, you'll notice there is no Matt Roberts on this episode. I'm really, |
