Welcome to the Total Soccer Show and our latest batch of listener questions.

0:26.0

On today's show, we're ranking Juergen Kloppin, the Premier League pantheon.

0:30.2

We're asking, is Timo Verner an MLS player potentially?

0:33.6

And we're bringing the 90s back at its tactics.

0:37.0

It's going to be glorious. My name is Ryan Bailey. Joining me today, your friend and mine. Taylor Rockwell, hello, Taylor. Hello, Ryan. How are you, my friend? I like your acoustic foam around your mic look we've got going on today. It looks like you're recording just outside of a cave. It's very in fashion this season, the acoustic foam around your mic look, Taylor. I'm just trying to acquiesce to current trends. But thank you very much.

0:37.7

I think I saw that at the time. It's very in fashion this season, the acoustic foam around your mic look, Taylor.

0:54.3

I'm just trying to acquiesce to current trends.

0:56.9

But thank you very much.

I think I saw that at the Met Gala on several occasions. It's a good look. You did. It's fierce. It's fierce. It's been described as fierce. Thank you very much. Graham Rutherland's here. Hi, Graham. Hello, Ryan Bailey. Yes, I am very much enjoying the foam tunnel that you're sitting, and it kind of frames your face.

0:54.8

It's like a solar eclipse or a lunar eclipse, but just Ryan's face right in the middle of the circle. It's a great look. To bring the listener in on this, we have to soundproof the rooms that we record in, so it doesn't sound like we're talking in like echoey churches or something like that. So that's what they're referring to. I'm covered in foam.

As we all are, Graham listener, is under a giant comforter, which is his method of deadening the sound. And it works wonderfully, Graham. I'm sure you're not boiling hot under that. Well, I mean, I've got to lose this Florida weight somehow. So it's my podcasting equivalent of working out with a bin bag on. yeah you know know that just goes back on when you drink a glass of water, right? That's how that works. Yeah, you know that? Yeah, I certainly go back on with the German beer in a month's time. Oh boy, oh boy. More on that on the feed shortly, I'm sure. Joe Lowry's here as well. Hi, Joe. How are you? I'm great, Ryan. I like how you gave yourself balance in this episode. For folks who don't know, as long as we're peeling back the curtain,

Ryan... Lowry's here as well. Hi, Joe. How are you? I'm great, Ryan. I like how you gave yourself balance

in this episode. For folks who don't know, as long as we're peeling back the curtain, Ryan picks the questions for listener questions, which is very kind of him, and we appreciate it very much. He already teased his pride and joy, which is the decade of the 1990s in the intro. He also picked a Timo Werner question to balance himself out. Ryan, I'm very proud of you. Way to stay even

killed, buddy. Yinn and Yang. I'm looking forward to if I in the intro, he also picked a Timo Werner question to balance himself out.

2:17.7

Ryan, I'm very proud of you. Way to stay even killed, buddy. Yin and Yang. I'm looking forward to both of those ones for different reasons, Joe. Are we doing a Father Quismisness on the Patreon today? Father Christmas. Well, I think I can hear Slay bells ringing in the background somewhere, Taylor. Father Quismas, I believe, will be visiting the Patreon feed. that listener if you're not on the Patreon feed

2:15.5

means we're doing a quiz.

2:17.0

I am very excited about that. I just feel like, Graham, you can agree or disagree. I feel like this is Joe, the introduction. It's very buttering up of Ryan Bailey, who will then be hosting the quiz later on. I see what you're doing, Joe. I see the strategy ahead of time. I think you'll find, I don't host the quizzes, though. Taylor, Father, Quismas does. He is an ephemeral character who graces himself on TSS Plus. Patreon.com slash total soccer show if you'd like to hear his dulcet tunes on the bonus feed. We have bonus episodes there, including a quiz on the feed this week. We have bonus

video content that we regularly post on there. And of course, access to our Discord. It is the

best way to support Total Soccer Show if you're inclined to do so. Patreon.com slash Total Soccer Show,

please and thank you. How about we do some listener questions, by the way? Graham, sound good,

3:23.4

ready? Let's do it. Let's do it. Richard Rawolson's been in touch and says, now that Juergen Klopp has left Liverpool and the Premier League, where does he rank among the all-time Premier League managers? Graham, third. Next? Well, obviously Moise is at the top of any list of all- primary managers. Closely followed by Big Sam and Alan Kerbysley. That's the big three. Yeah, there we go. Nailed it. Debate over, I think. Yeah, all right. So we go home. Doesn't figure in that. Let's be serious about it for a moment. Joe, how do you feel about ranking? I feel like this is something that maybe isn't in your wheelhouse as like ranking managers over several decades of a league. It's just super cool that there's no other context that relates to how good managers are in their own personal success levels. And it's definitely not that every manager worth their salt always talks about how they need good players to succeed.

4:14.8

It's nothing like that, Graham, so this is actually right at my alley. Actually, Graham, for Joe managers aren't that important, it's like ranking paper clips in his desk right now. It's like, who cares? Yeah, it's more of who cares. So maybe Moisey is top. Don't want the card one, do I just want the regular old boring metal one? It doesn't.
