Hello, hello, everybody and welcome to the total soccer show. My name is Taylor Rockwell, and on today's episode, we're talking. Emma Hayes finally taking over the U.S. women's national team ahead of this summer's Olympic Games. To do so, I'm joined by the legend of the institution, the Meg Linnehan. Hi, Meg, it's great to have you back on the show. Thank you for having me back. That was slightly ridiculous, but I appreciate it. I had a feeling it was going to make you not like thrilled and maybe slightly, slightly embarrassed by the overblown nature of that introduction. Did I succeed? Yes, you did. Sweet. That's what we're going for off the jump. I'm very happy to always achieve such things. We have many things to discuss.

Can we talk about the shoe wall behind you to begin? Because we're doing this with the video

component in place. So I can see this amazing wall of footwear. Do you wear them regularly? Are they

there for display? I wear every pair of shoes that I buy. There are actually a couple in here that I have yet to wear.

It's just a matter of time.

It's just that they were relatively new to the collection.

But I think I'm now in the 80 to 90 pairs of sneakers territory, which consistently horrifies my wife.

But having moved out of New York City and up to Vermont and actually having some space,

truly one of my main goals.

Well, first of all, it's lovely to have an office and have some space.

But I instantly was like, well, this is a shoot wall.

You just saw the vision.

You knew right away.

I just was like, it's time to build.

It's an important thing once you have more space.

We did something similar to just make sure that you fill it as quickly as possible with all of the many things. Right. I mean, like, because the rest of it's kind of, you know, like, it's my desk and whatever. And I'm just, but like, now this is my, my chance to finally have every, because it used to be when we were in New York and we were in this tiny two-room apartment just like in the corner, this tower of shoe boxes that would stress Marjorie out every time she looked at it.

And now, first of all, it's removed into the office, so she doesn't have to see it unless she wants to.

But then I'm just like, look at how tidy it feels so satisfying.

What percentage of the time? You have to shift everything. So it's a real, it's a project. I was going to say, what percentage of the time does she want to see them? And my guess it would be about 1% of the time? Yeah, I would say that's probably fair. She does enjoy it. like every time one of her friends over, she's like, you have to see the shoe wall to like fully know what I'm dealing with here.

That's awesome. Do you, are these all, we will talk soccer at some point, but I, I'm always fascinated by people who go like the collection route and how you track all those things. Are they all your purchases? Do you get them sent do you have to turn away shoes i wish i had that problem no i'm out here taking ls on the sneakers app on a consistent basis what's the sneakers out okay no i mean no i will
