the virtue golden handcuffs, right? Now, I don't know if Jackson here Jackson is in

studios to listen to the virtue and has been for a long time. What's going on, dude?

Not the much. Thanks for having me. Thanks for coming on in. So I don't know if this

was a situation where you are making so much money that it was sucking your soul, but

it still was a very difficult thing to give up or why did the job end in the first place?

Well, funny enough, it didn't end quite on my own terms. I actually got laid off of

the job. Okay. All right. So they cut the golden handcuffs. Exactly. It was not a matter

of choice on my hands. So Jackson hit me about a month ago, man. And he wanted to come

on for two reasons. One, because he's got this going on in his life. But also this is

very special month for him and his family. Absolutely. So it is a PI month, which stands

for Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. This is something that I hold near

and dear to my heart. I think it's great to have a platform to potentially talk about some

of the issues that go along with Asian Americans, especially in the United States.

And I'm super happy to come and share some of these experiences. What is your background?

What attaches you to it? So I'm a Korean American born raise. My whole thing with being

a Korean here has kind of been like this dual identity crisis where I don't quite feel

like I fit the mold of like, you know, being and fitting and getting along with everyone

here. But then also like not super in tune with my Korean roots as well. Like I don't

speak Korean. So that's been like something that's a big regret in my life, honestly.

But also at the same time, like something that I'm trying to be more proud of, especially

since growing up here in the South, it's been a little bit different. And is that

caused tension between you and your parents sometimes? Not so much with my parents. Like I'm
