and they don't want you to buy anything, they don't really sell anything per se.

The Houston Independent Electrical Contractors Association has been a supporter of my message

for a number of years.

When I was on City Council, they came and met with me.

It was Bob Wilkinson, who was executive director back then, and Helene Webster was his number

two.

Well since then, Bob has retired to the country, and Helene is the able leader, absolutely

love this woman.

So when I started in radio, they said, hey, we like to support the show, we like to be

a part of it.

And they said, well, you are an association of electrical companies, merit shop, which

means non-union electrical companies, what would you do?

And they said, whatever you want to step, as I tell you what, I would love to have you

as show sponsors, because here's the difference between me and a lot of other people, including

some listeners.

I believe in the profit motive.

I believe that if I make money for this company, it makes it very hard to fire me.
