Summary

Yoga is an internal practice, where you’re feeling more and thinking less, and it’s about linking your breath to the movement of your body, meditating, and doing breathwork.

Those who consistently do Yoga are more active in their life, calmer, and are focusing on habits that will lead to a longer life. It’s never too late to start, and it’s even recommended for older people. There are so many poses you can do, depending on your flexibility, and Lisa is here today to tell us how to find the exercise that best fits our needs.

In today’s episode, Lisa and I talk about a subject that is near and dear to me. Since I started practicing Yoga, I noticed several improvements in my overall health and lifestyle behavior, and I wanted to have an expert on this empowering practice, for you to understand all the benefits it brings, both physically and spiritually.

Lisa Pineda is an international Yoga and Meditation instructor, the Documentary Executive Producer of ”The Yogi”, and a Global Yoga Retreat Leader. She combines decades of experience in healthcare as an award-winning multimedia journalist and Yoga instructor, to create endless space for authenticity. Lisa advocates for individuals and families who are struggling to start a family with her creation of Yoga for Fertility.

So, listen to Episode 26 of Rejuvenaging, to learn the insides of Yoga, and hear some concrete information on what we can do to better ourselves.

Questions I ask:

  • How do you spend your week? (03:58)
  • What’s the difference between Yoga and Pilates. (10:47)
  • How did you get to be who you are? (11:26)
  • Do you find it to be true that Yoga has secondary benefits such as healthier food choices or a better lifestyle? (26:10)
  • Can you give us a short course on what mindfulness meditation is? (28:29)

In this episode, you will learn:

  • The types of Yoga classes that Lisa teaches. (04:40)
