So not to generalize, but the bond that sisters have for each other is pretty

indescribable. I've said this before on the show, but my sister is pretty much my life, my best friend.

Today's very special guests have a sisterly connection that is on another level to the point where you may actually

want to consider it a superpower, honestly. They are both award-winning journalists, because

you know that happens between two siblings. Lisa and Laura Ling have always been aware that their

line of work does not always guarantee safety. But and Laura Ling have always been aware that their line of work does not always

guarantee safety. But when Laura was detained in 2009, while reporting a story near the Chinese

North Korean border and sentenced to 12 years of hard labor, Lisa sprung into action and did not stop until her sister was released.

They detailed their experience in the 2010 memoir that they co-wrote together somewhere inside.

One sister's captivity in North Korea and the others fight to bring her home.
