All right, Lisa, welcome to the man talk show. How are you doing today? I'm doing great. Connor,

0:11.3

thanks very much for having me. Yeah, thank you so much for agreeing to be on here. I, you know, a couple months ago, I was scrolling through Instagram, as one does these days, generally exhausted.

0:23.7

And like came across one of your videos, and it was during a period where my son had just

0:29.8

started hitting.

0:31.0

He's like three at the time.

0:32.8

And he started to get, you know, classic three-year-old, right?

0:35.8

He's a three-year-old boy.

0:37.1

They have a testosterone spike between three and five. He started to get, you know, classic three-year-old, right? It's a three-year-old boy. They have a testosterone

0:38.1

spike between three and five. He started to get pretty, pretty wild and unruly. And your

0:44.1

video was hilarious because it sounded like my son, but then it also was very counter to what

0:51.9

I see a lot of online, a lot of the parenting advice online,

0:55.8

was somewhat, not very, but somewhat counter, which I really appreciated. I think in the video,

1:02.0

you said, stop trying to be your child's therapist, something along those lines. And I was like,

1:07.7

yes. Well, what I actually say is don't be, don't do the mini therapy sessions

1:11.9

discussing all this stuff because that's not them, that's us. Adults do that. They're not analyzing everything and it's inappropriate. It's just a, I'm interested. You said there's a testosterone spike at three to five. I'm not a doctor or anything. I've never heard that before. Yeah, boys, boys will go, I mean, I work with men

1:28.2

predominantly, so I know a lot about male biology and psychology, but young boys between

1:33.8

the ages of three and five will go through a kind of like a mini puberty where they'll have

1:38.5

this huge spike in testosterone. And it'll act somewhat similarly to what happens. It's almost like they're going

1:45.7

through a pre-puberty and they'll have a big increase in testosterone. And so a lot of their

1:52.3

behavior, you know, starts to get, they start to get a little bit more wild and reckless and

1:57.0

risk-taking and all the things that we see in young boys that go through puberty.

2:02.8

So, yeah.
