Well, this woman is absolutely, you're going to love her as everybody is.

I mean, you've seen her on multiple shows,

I must say, like Shadow Hunters, the moral instruments, supernatural. And most recently,

she is starring or co-starring in a series called Beyond Black Beauty that you can catch on Amazon Prime,

the one, the only, the amazing. Lisa Barry,

Lisa, I was looking at your extensive resume, but tell us how did you get into the acting world?

Oh, you know, it's so funny. I've actually been talking with a few actors recently just about our origin stories.

And I was like, wow, we have come a long way from like doing open call general auditions to be in the choir and and just how much we've grown.

But my career, like when I reflect on it, was so built deeply on being rejected. My very first

entry into this industry was on a dare. I had friends who were like,

you should audition for the Lion King. And I was like, I don't think so. And they really, really

pushed it. And then when they put drinks on the table, I was like, deal. Deal. If I get a call back, I owe you guys drinks. And if I don't,

I will need to like lick my wounds. And of course, like just two, two months prior, I had bombed an
