My first question is, how did this topic, and you can explain what the topic is, how did this

become of interest to you? How did you come across this topic and decide to write a book on it?

Well, like a lot of things in the parenting space,

you get really interested in it when your kid goes through it. Right. And you think,

hmm, I wasn't really ready for that. And that's exactly what happened to me. My daughter

seemed completely uninterested in dating or anything. And then suddenly one day

she was. And it was with a neighbor boy, a boy she rode the bus with, and they started dating.

Can I ask the age?

13. 13. Okay. Yeah. Which is, you know, that's, that's not a surprise, right?

It's not like she was nine or seven or what have you.

Yeah.

But I think for me, even though I knew this day was going to come, I did not know how I would feel about it.

And I did not know what to do about it.

And the feeling part is important
