And yeah, we have a ton of different news, updates and all of these different things to talk about because free agency has still been going on.

And even though Jeremy is the one that went on vacation, for some reason, I feel like I'm like two weeks out of the loop. I feel like I've missed a lot of things, even though I've been around. And it just feels like so much time has gone by. But before we jump into what everything we have to talk about today, let me introduce my two amazing co-host. first and foremost, we have your senior editor over at pride of Detroit.com.

Ryan Matthews at Ryan underscore POD. Ryan, has it feel like it's been as long for you as it is for me? Because I feel like I haven't talked to either of you in like a lifetime. I don't know why that is. Yeah, we did a podcast last week together, Miko. But that feels like it was ages ago. Yeah. Yeah. Like, I don't, I don't know. Maybe the fact that we weren't just jumping on every new signing is why it feels like it's been a while. But yeah, also back from vacation, looking a little bit more bronze than, you know, I probably would have, you know, thought he probably would be, considering that it apparently was pretty windy and cloudy in Florida.

Jeremy, how are you feeling hopefully refreshed in and ready to talk some wines?

I'm a little refreshed.

I was telling you before the show, I got, I have like this weird condition where I still

feel like brain fog and a little bit of like, see, not sickness, but like, I don't know.

An equilibrium problem after being on a cruise and I'm, you know, five days out of it now and still kind of feeling it.

But I am ready to talk about some Lions football to, I think, a Lions fan base that needs a little bit of talking to.

And I don't mean that in a bad way, but like I feel like there's a lot of Lions fans out there seeking audio therapy. And that's what I'm here to provide today, I think. I was going to say, you're talking about your equilibrium being a little off. I feel like the fan base's equilibrium is a little bit off because while there have been moves made and some moves that we've asked for, I don't think people really know where they should land on it. So I think that's one of the things that we're definitely going to talk about in this podcast is really just like has the team gotten better or have they regressed in certain areas. But before we get into that, let's jump on like some of the most recent roster signings that kind of happened last week. Let's start with one of the biggest ones that I think got a lot of fans at least buzzing. I still don't know exactly where we should land on it, but DJ want them signing with the Lions. Contract details came out not too long ago. It does seem to be a one year deal up to three years with incentives. So Jeremy, I mean, just overall, how do you kind of feel about this move and the lions going out and finding a value pass rusher, I guess, in free agency?

Yeah, I think my main takeaway from this selection, this, this signing is, well, I would say Ryan's favorite trait in someone.

And it sounds weird for someone who went through a like gruesome injury and recovery.

But DJ Wanham has played a lot of snaps since being in the NFL.

And shout out to our friend Al Carston.

3,800 defensive snaps since 2020, since 2020, the 13th most amongst all edge players.

When he got back from the gruesome leg injury and the blood clot stuff and all the weird medical stuff that he had to go through, even these past two years in Carolina, he averaged 48 snaps per game, which is a hefty load.
