Hey, everybody. Welcome back to the 12-6 podcast. I'm your host, Colin McHugh. We're closing in on the end of spring training, and it seems for now that 162 games of baseball is headed your way this summer.

I'm playing this year for the Tampa Bay Rays, and honestly, I'm just so psyched to be playing

again anywhere after over a year of watching from the sidelines. Like 100 million Americans,

I just got my vaccine, and I've never been more excited to get a shot in my entire

life. For those of you who haven't gotten your vaccine yet, stay safe and stay patient. It's coming

your way really soon. For those of you who aren't planning to get it, I'm sure you have plenty

of reasons, truly. And I'm not one to tell people what to do. But we've been talking with

scientists throughout the epidemiology field over the last year plus,

and they keep telling us that the quickest way to get our lives going again is to eliminate this virus.

And the quickest way to eliminate it is to get everyone who can be vaccinated, vaccinated.

So, end of my soapbox.

For today's guest, I had the honor of talking with Yankees beatwriter for the athletic,

Lindsay Adler.

She's very funny, very sincere, and I think her style of covering players and teams is wildly

original and really needed at this point in time in baseball.

We talked about the doldrums of spring training, hyping amateur players too soon,

and explaining baseball acumen to our therapists.
