Summary

Episode 40 with Lindsay Fleming.

"When I come up with an idea, I don’t think twice — then suddenly I’ve got a whole business plan."

Lindsay is a Licensed Professional Counsellor who owns her own private practice in Chicago.

If you’ve ever fallen down any ADHD rabbit holes on TikTok, then you’ve probably come across Lindsay on your For You Page. Lindsay’s videos de-stigmatize ADHD, anxiety, trauma and the therapy experience, especially for young people. She does an incredible job connecting with and helping children, teens, and young adults struggling with mental health.

As of this recording, she has nearly half a million followers on TikTok, and she’s also been featured on the TODAY show, Cosmopolitan, the New York Times, and more.

We talk about her own ADHD diagnosis and mental health journey. Also, since I am the parent of a 14yo girl, I also grill Lindsay all about how platforms like TikTok are being used by mental health professionals to reach this generation and normalize therapy and mental health. Enjoy!
