I'm Stuart Mandel, and I am joined, as always, by Bruce Feldman

for the second time on this Sunday. Just so you guys know, we already recorded an entire podcast

talking about rivalry, an epic rivalry Saturday, and you're going to hear that discussion in just a

minute, but in between the time we recorded that and published the

episode, Bruce dropped the bombshell of all coaching bombshells, Lincoln Riley, going from

Oklahoma to USC. I'm just sitting here still in a bit of shock that something good happened to

USC football, and that USC was able to get

a guy who LSU wanted as well.

Do you, based on your reporting on this, do you feel like this had been kind of in the works

for a while and just waiting for the regular season to end or this happened very quickly? From my understanding, Stu, he was somebody that USC had targeted, but things really escalated

late last night and into the morning.

So as you and I have, I mean, we'll do a little inside baseball here, but I don't know, probably

like three hours before our report came out.

I had that kind of cryptic tweet about USC's going to take a big swing.

At like at that point I started hearing he's leaning towards going.

I didn't want to put it out there like that.

And then, but I did put something out there.

At that point, it had already ramped up significantly.

And then it was going

to be talking link from lincoln raleigh talking to his bosses and then there was a lag time of i don't

know how long maybe an hour maybe more than that of he is going to address tell the team he wants
