Another interesting and important topic for you this week as we consider limb lengthening and reconstruction.

Now, these are things you probably don't think about every day.

And if that is the case, please do count yourself lucky because there are

many kids and teenagers and families who do think about abnormalities of their arms and legs.

And they think about these things often because these conditions affect the daily function

of their extremities and impact the quality of their lives.

Maybe a condition a child is born with or one that is acquired as they grow.

Might be the result of a traumatic injury, a serious infection, maybe cancer or its treatment.

Whatever the case, they are in need of limb lengthening and or reconstruction, which is a fascinating

sub-specialty of orthopedic surgery. We have a terrific guest this week as we consider

these conditions and their treatment. Dr. Christopher Yopest is here. He is a pediatric orthopedic
