I want to welcome all of you to the program. We have another important topic for you this week as we consider congenital heart disease. A congenital, you'll recall,

means something you are born with. So congenital heart disease refers to heart problems

that are present at birth. And these are typically structural problems with the heart.

So, for example, there might be a valve that does not form properly.

There could be a hole between pumping chambers.
