Summary

At The Moon Under Water we always give thanks to those who have dedicated their lives to brewing beer: Arthur Guinness, Francesco Peroni and Bud Weiser to name a few. And this week we’re delighted to welcome our first ever brewer into the mystical realm… Lily Waite!

Lily is the founder of Queer Brewing, a brewery that raises money for LGBTQ+ charities, and is also the current UK Beer Writer of the Year. That means she’s able to bring pints to life not just metaphorically; she can literally bring beer to life in real cans that you can hold and imbibe and enjoy. Though it usually goes against the rules of our establishment she’s actually brought some beer with her for John and Robin to enjoy - what a delight!

Tickets for The Moon Under Water Live are on sale now! Throughout August and September we'll be inviting special guests to create their dream pub LIVE from a real pub (The George IV in Chiswick). Head over to moonunderpod.com for more info and to grab your tickets. The mystical realm awaits!

And when I wake, greet me with long lingering streets that lead far away, beyond memory, beyond desire,

into the further realm and into the moon underwater. Oh! Oh, Robin, it is a tonic to see you sat at my bar, so how does the bar find you?

1:05.1

Fine. I've been bejabbed for a second time, so I'm fully bejabed.

1:10.5

Well, I have been bejabed for a second time today too. Great fully be jabbed. Well, I have been be jabbed for a second time today too.

1:13.5

Great. How are you feeling? I feel good. I mean, I've had a headache for two days, but I think

1:17.7

that's sort of a stress slash tension headache. I don't think that's anything to do with being

1:22.0

Bajabed. How are you feeling? Yeah, I feel fine, a bit of a sore arm. But, uh, yeah, so I don't really know why I'm

1:28.0

lying down on the bar and the moon underwater on my left arm. It's a, seems stupid now.

1:33.6

It has healing qualities, the bar at the moon underwater, somewhat like the waters of lords. Yeah.

1:41.0

And various sites of religious or historic interest.

1:45.1

Why don't you try just resting that sore head of yours on some of these,

1:48.4

just on the woods there, see if that helps.

1:50.6

Oh, let's give it a go.

1:54.4

Do you know what?

1:55.8

It feels like fresh water is running through my neck and into my mind. And I have to say it's clearing

2:05.0

like a cloud that parts to reveal a nicer cloud. I'm just worried that people are going to start

2:11.1

making pilgrimages to the moon underwater for its healing properties. Well, that's to be

2:15.8

encouraged, I would say. I've been thinking a lot, Robin,

2:19.5

after recent foot tennis events about nationhood and nationalities. I wonder what nation the

2:26.7

moon underwater represents, because, you know, nations have different vibes to pubs. And I wonder if

perhaps the moon underwater is a pub for all
