Summary

Betting the Buckeyes is back for Week 2 after last week's debut, as Tyler Shoemaker and Doug Lesmerises return to discuss the weekend in college football from a gambling standpoint. First up on this episode, Ohio State is favored by 44.5 over Arkansas State and the total is 68.5. TShoe has a clear angle on one of those bets, and Doug and Tyler discuss getting inside the mind of a head coach in a blowout. Then it's time for Doug and TShoe to each make one bet from each Power 5 conference. Last week, both went 3-2 on these picks, and this week, there's a direct disagreement on Michigan's big number vs. Hawaii. Plus, the USC-Stanford game feels a little fishy, and Doug forgets what conference Texas A&M is in. Then, TShoe finishes the pod with his picks in the weeds, where he really hopes to make you some money. Ohio State will play Toledo next week. This week, the Rockets are part of one of his best bets. Welcome back to Benning the Buckeyes on Buckeye Talk, it's Doug Lamarice and Tyler Schumaker,

0:30.8

the official bookmaker of Buckeye Talk. This is our second week to do this gambling show.

0:35.7

We're talking about Ohio State football, national college football, and some under the radar

0:39.7

college football. We're doing it from a gambling perspective because T-Sue knows what's up

0:44.8

and somebody has to be here to put the podcast together. So that's like that's why I'm here.

0:50.6

I'm just the support staff, T-Sue, you're the moneymaker. How did you think our first pod went

0:55.9

last week? I thought it went great. I mean, you and I combined for 60% on our conference picks,

1:02.7

so I mean, that's excellent if we can do that every week than we're doing our jobs.

1:07.2

You know, unfortunately, my three best bets that I gave out only went one and two, which,

1:13.1

you know, it happens, but if you watch those games, you know, since natty week we gave out

1:18.5

their kicker went over two on field goals and their quarterback overthrew wide open receivers all

1:25.3

day that would have been touched down. So that was a losing bet, but it was the right side. I have no

1:29.9

regrets about that. And then Boise State, who we had as an upset pick on the money line,

1:36.1

had four turnovers in the first half. So that thing was dead on arrival. So, you know,

1:40.8

it happens, but I thought we did a good job. Also noting Brian Kelly screwed up his first

1:47.2

game at LSU. So I nailed that one. Yep. Way to go, Brian Kelly. Way to screw it up in your

1:53.4

first game. So I was happy to win with Florida State on that one. So we'll get into that,

1:58.0

but we always start off by talking about the Ohio State game. And it's called betting the

2:01.8

butt guys. It's not called betting against Brian Kelly. Although that wouldn't be a terrible name

2:05.2

for sure, either. Not bad. Betting the butt guys. We like to talk about the numbers around Ohio

2:10.8

State where you can find value. This is the time when T-Sue comes at this as an Ohio State fan,
