Summary

This week Lightfoot finds himself still on the canal boat but he is starting to want to get off. He is hungry and lonely. Lightfoot talks some more to the horses on board and finds some hay that was left behind but cannot jump high enough to get out of the hold of the canal boat. He gets lucky when they start loading the hold with coal. At the end of the first day there is a hill of coal that Lightfoot is able to climb up on to get out and he is free again. He sets off to try and find his way home but will he be able to find Mike?

0:31.4	In our last episode, Lightfoot ran away from some boys and ended up on a canal boat.
0:39.4	He didn't know how to get off of the boat, so he went for a voyage.
0:46.4	In this episode, Lightfoot decides that the voyage on the canal boat is not so bad.
0:54.4	He is hungry and asks the horses on board if they would share their food, but they tell him they can't.
1:02.4	There is no way to get the food to him.
1:07.4	Lightfoot uses his nose and finds some hay left behind from another horse, eats and then has a rest.
1:19.4	When he wakes up, Lightfoot realizes he is homesick and decides to try and get off the canal boat, but can't make the jump.
1:31.4	Lucky for him, they are stopping to put something in the hold.

1:44.4	Lightfoot, down in the hold of the canal boat, felt the craft slipping through the water easily.
1:52.4	He was being carried with it.
1:55.4	Well, this is not so bad for a start.
1:59.4	Thought the goat. It is much easier than riding in a wagon as I once did.
2:07.4	When Lightfoot was a small goat, before he had come to live with Mike and his mother, he remembered being taken from one place to another,
2:17.4	shot up in a box and carried in a wagon.
2:22.4	The wagon jolted over the rough road, tossing Lightfoot from side to side.
2:30.4	The motion of the canal boat was much easier, for there were no waves in the canal, except at times when a steam canal boat might pass.
2:42.4	And even then, the waves were not large enough to make the Sally Jane bob about.
