Hey, good morning. It's Patricia Murphy. It's Tuesday. This is Seattle now. Starting this

weekend, thousands of commuters north of Seattle will have a brand new option for getting around.

That's when light rail expands all the way up to Linwood.

It's also led to a housing boom.

We'll talk about all that in a minute with Seattle Times Transportation reporter Nick DeShay.

But first, let's get you caught up.

If you're traveling out of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport today, plan to use airline mobile apps if you can.

Internet, phones, email, terminal screens, and the baggage sorting system are a mess after an apparent cyber attack over the weekend.

So far, there's no estimated time for restoration.

Oh, and maybe just stick with a carry-on. Seattle Times reported Monday Alaska Airlines baggage handlers were manually sorting through

7,000 pieces of luggage that failed to make it to their destinations. King County Metro is cutting the

price of adult Orca Day Pass cards for the next six months.

Starting Friday, the cards will be reduced from $8 to $6.

Senior day passes will drop to just $2.
