Hey everyone. I'm your other host, Caitlin, and welcome to our very first official discussion all about the High Republic. I'm so excited. It feels like the beginning of a new era because it is the beginning of a new era. I don't know. I feel like I just feel so excited. It's so nice to have a blank slate to discover a whole slew of new characters. And it's been a long time since you and I have talked about a book like just one on one, not with an author or something. So it's, it's real exciting. I don't know. I have good, good vibes. Yeah, it does feel like it's been a while since we actually did. I don't think we did any book reviews in 2020.

We talked to authors, so we did talk about books and we did read Star Wars books, but we didn't do a, you know, classic prologue three-part structure for our book discussions.

So it's nice to come back. And it's nice to be diving into the High Republic finally. I mean,

how long ago was it that we first heard about Project Luminous? Oh my God. Project Luminous a long time ago.

The announcement of the High Republic was like, I think, two weeks before lockdown last year, too, when they officially called it.

Yeah, but we heard about Project Luminous in 2019, right? It felt so long ago.

It was celebration 2019. Right. My God. That's another thing that actually makes me really excited about

this era. I love the authors that are participating. And I actually think they all have a really

cute relationship. I'm kind of fascinated by it. I, they Charles Sol recently in an interview

talked about how they have a Slack channel and a group chat and they talk

every day and I was like, this is great. I love this so much. So Charlotte, for people who maybe

aren't following a lot of these authors or maybe weren't a part of Project Luminous, what is the

High Republic era? And like, what's the whole concept behind this? Like a brief synopsis.

initiative that I think is really exciting because it utilizes a bunch of different mediums and
