0:00.0	As we begin today's guided prayer, I want you to consider this phrase that we often see reflected in
0:12.3	scripture. The phrase is this, Jesus is the light of the world. Consider that for a moment. Jesus is the light of the light of the world. Consider that for a moment. Jesus is the light of this world. At times a world
0:28.7	that can seem dark, certainly difficult and challenging. Jesus is the light of this world.
0:37.2	What a beautiful thing to consider as we begin the time of prayer, reflection, and worship.
0:48.7	Why don't we start by thanking him?
0:54.1	Anything good. Anything good, anything light,
0:59.0	anything lovely in this world is from Jesus.
1:06.0	Take 30 seconds now and thank him for that reality. I want us to shift now into the reality that life comes with darkness at times.
1:43.8	Dark moments happen. Difficult things. comes with darkness at times.
1:44.6	Dark moments happen.
1:47.6	Difficult things take place.
1:51.2	We find ourselves experiencing darkness in the form of depression, anxiety, fear, worry,
2:00.3	doubt, tragedy. The list goes on. But in the face of that darkness, we know
2:10.4	and can hold on to this truth. Jesus is our light.
2:31.4	A light in society and culture and certainly in scripture represents hope, the light at the end of the tunnel, if you will.
2:41.3	And the beauty with this picture, this image of Jesus being the light of the world,
2:51.3	is all other lights dim out, fail, falter.
3:03.2	But the light that is Jesus can't be hidden, can't be extinguished, can't be removed,
3:05.6	can't be covered.
3:10.4	And so I want us to declare the
3:12.9	powerful light that Jesus is in this earth
3:16.8	over our circumstances
