Welcome back to the morning mindset and so thankful that you joined me for this

opportunity for you and me to get our minds aligned with the truth of God. We're

doing it right now through an advent celebration as we look forward to the

Christmas holiday. Before we get started though, I'm going to remind you about the

things that are going on relating to not a needy person. That is a nonprofit

organization that we've created to help receive need requests and then have

others come alongside to meet those need requests. It's really a unique sort of

Today we're going to be talking about three things that are closely connected

together. Light, fellowship, and cleansing. Let's look at first John, chapter

one, verses five through seven. We're going to tie this in to our advent

celebration this year. This is John the Apostle who we think was one of Jesus

closer friends who is writing to us and he says this is the message we have

heard from him and proclaim to you. So stop for a moment and think about that.

This is someone close to Jesus saying this is what we learn from Jesus and are

passing on to you. Okay, I want to pay attention when I hear a statement like

that. He says God is light and in him is no darkness at all. Okay, let's pause
