Because we're still sort of on break, there's no news this week, but there will be the

news again next week.

We love Britney, Clinton, Sam.

And we have two guests.

We have Wes Moore, who's going to join us to talk about his work at the Rabbinid Foundation.

I believe deeply that the people who are closest to the problems are often the times closest

to the solution.

And our job is if we're going to really be poverty fighters.

If we're really going to address the structural impediments that poverty have placed on so

many families that have been intentionally put in poverty, then our job is to make sure

that we're having conversations with members of the community and not about them.

We also have Laura Powers-Widen, who's going to join us to talk about her work at Code

2040.

We walked into the halls of the White House, and it was just a given that our economic systems

and institutions should be inclusive of and welcoming of all Americans.

And that sort of initial hurdle of justifying the work was just totally gone.

Now, before we get started, this is the first podcast of 2018 for us.
