John Chapter 4, I'm captured and caught up with this phrase that Jesus makes in John

Chapter 4 to his 12 disciples. He says this phrase lift up your eyes lift up your eyes that is the title of my final message, our final message in 2017.

And I believe it will be catalytic for us

as we walk gladly, happily, excitedly into 2018,

can I get a witness?

I was randomly at a grocery store

and buying some stuff and the guys like, are you getting ready for the new year?

And I was like, yeah, it's gonna be a good year.

He's like, yeah, man, I am so glad to see 2017 go.

I was like, I think if I had a dollar for every single person I've run into who said I am so glad to see

2017 go and 2017 had its good moments no doubt God is faithful he is true but I am

very very excited to say goodbye and hello to 2018.

Goodbye to 2017 and hello to 2018.

I don't want to say goodbye and hello to 2018. Okay. John Chapter 4, lift up your eyes.

Before we jump into verse 27, let me give you a little context. Jesus tells the 12 guys, 12 followers, 12 disciples, we're going to go

through Samaria, they're shocked, they avoid Samaria altogether. There is

incredible prejudice against the Samaritans. They don't like the Samaritans.

Jesus says we're going to go to Samaritan.

In fact, more specifically, Jesus ends up on the outskirts of Samaria at a well.

It's there he finds himself alone.

He sends the 12 disciples into the Samaritan town and village to purchase lunch.
