Welcome to Your World Within Daily. I'm Eddie Pinero. In this episode, we're going to talk about

the seemingly contradictory idea that the hardest things we go through position us for the

best things we'll ever achieve. Life is the greatest of teachers.

But not in the way we think, right?

Not in the way that's always intuitive to us.

Sometimes we have to go through the most difficult of times or experiences,

situations to come out and realize that the difficult thing was what we needed most.

And I'm going to play one of my favorite speeches called Life, the Greatest of Teachers,

and it talks about different

situations along the way where, you know, I went through something that I thought was terrible,

sometimes, you know, larger than life bad, like I couldn't even see or fathom how something good

could come out of it, and it ended up being,

you know, a launch pad to something greater.

And I feel like from a practical standpoint in terms of how this is valuable, well, one, it teaches us that the things that happened in the past, right, are dark spots, the parts of the turmoil and frustration,

the chaotic parts of life, they hold a lot of the answers and the tools that we need moving

forward. In other words, we learn the most about ourselves during the times we were most tested and that stays with us.

And then moving forward, it teaches us that the cave you fear holds the treasure you seek, as the

quote says. Right. The paradox that the exact thing you need could be the thing that's most

uncomfortable and difficult for you.

Both those things can be true at once. They are not mutually exclusive.

The things that seem the hardest, well, there's a pop song about that, right? The hardest thing and the right thing are the same.

And that's ultimately what life is about, right right having the courage to be one of life students
