So I've been reading the lovely book Slow Burn by my friend Dawn Cherie, who is a pastor actually here in Miami at Voochurch.

Her book is called Slow Burn, The Work and Wonder of the Weight.

And in the book, Don Treese speaks a lot about her fertility challenges, life's challenges,

and how, in fact, we are all, all of us. I would say, gosh, I don't want to say 100% of the time, but 100% of the time

waiting for something. We are, right? I mean, whenever we achieve something, we're ready for the

next goal because every time a desire is achieved, a new one is born. Say you just get a job,

for example, your next desire is probably

to achieve a lot in that job and to really rock it at work. And maybe if you just got engaged,

you're then waiting for your wedding. And then once you have your wedding, you're maybe waiting

to buy your house. And then maybe you've got one baby and then you're kind of waiting and

planning for the next. I mean, it never ends, does it? And from a business perspective, you might even have like a great

launch or a great year or a great quarter. And then you're waiting and planning for the next quarter,

the next launch. Waiting mode is real for all of us. So what I want to put to you today is this question. If life is a waiting room,

because new ideas are constantly, and new desires are constantly born within us,

how is your waiting room? Is it miserable? Is it insufferable? Are you just dying to get out of there? Or is it really

pleasant because you know it is a place that you are going to be staying forever more. For whatever

reason, whatever it is that you want next, you're going to be in this waiting room.

So, is it nice and tidy? Have you lit a candle? Have you upgraded the chairs? Do you have a good

playlist while you wait? I find that those of us who know how to wait well with a good attitude, who dance during the wait,

we have a completely different life experience.
