Last year we went on a ski trip to Bulgaria and somehow we end up on the ski trip where at least 75% of the people there were expert skiers.

And so when we pulled up to the mountain in Borovitz.

And I got my first look at the slope

that came down to the bottom.

My only thought was, oh, because it was steep.

And even some of the advanced skiers and expert skiers

they were like, well, that's a pretty steep slope

coming down to the bottom here.

And I was scared.

I'm not going to lie.

I thought there's no way I'm ever going to take that slope.

We're here for two days. There is an easier slope on the other side. I guess I'll just take that one. And yeah, that's just way, way too steep for me. And so we're going the first day and I remember going with again

some of these people who are expert skiers and we get to the top of that slope and

for me to go to the easier slope I was going to have to kind of traverse

across the mountain and go down and all of them looked down like that's pretty

steep but we could do it and I thought I can't I cannot go down this slope like Trapp we're here with you will help you don't

worry you've got this and sure enough because of the positive peer pressure, I went down that slope.

I made it down that slope, pretty slow, not in the best control, but I made it to the bottom and I felt victorious and then every

single run the rest of the day and all the next day we take that slope and I got better

and better and better until the end of that ski trip.

I remember standing after our very last run we were going into returning skis looking back at that slope,

looking at it and think that looks really steep, but instead of thinking, oh, I was thinking, I got that, I did that, I conquered that that and the huge lesson for me was that if I was there alone
