Life lesson learn from a crappy short-term rental.

So everybody Rob, he's incredible at running short-term rentals.

He has hundreds of thousands of people follow his advice about short-term rentals and real estate.

He goes by the handle Rob built if you want to check it out.

Overall incredible guy and he knows what he's doing.

But one thing I love about Rob is that he's not afraid to admit

when something isn't working.

He's not afraid to admit to people that not everything

is always a home run, and it's always going to work out perfectly.

And so he said, hey I've got this cabin and right now it's doing crappy numbers.

It's not doing anywhere where I thought it would do and you know I got a I got to figure

this out so instead of just sitting there and saying all the market's bad or there's too

many short-term rentals or it's oversaturated and making all these

excuses and just saying hey maybe it'll turn around he did something about it and

so Rob who had just you, a fairly regular cabin in the mountains, decided that he was going to build a tree house deck.

And on that tree house deck, he was going to put a hot tub.

And so now this regular-ish cabin in the mountains that wasn't doing really well

turned into something that had an amenity that nowhere else had.

He had built a deck up amongst the trees, I don't know, 20-some feet high and put a hot tub up there,

and it became a spectacular property. He went from doing

something like $1,500 a month to I think $6,000 a month almost like that. And so the

lesson that I learned from Rob and that I started implementing right away for my stuff was that,
