Buckeye Talks from flume.com is Douglas Lamaryson interview today that I really was interested to do

because it's what it's like in the transfer portal with a person currently in the transfer portal.

It's Lloyd McFarquare who walked on at Ohio State has been there for four years, put out on Twitter,

this offseason that he's in the transfer portal has gotten some contacts from some outside teams.

He's played defensive back and special teams for the Buckeyes. He's a Northeast Ohio guy,

and I wanted to talk about a guy to a guy in the portal about what it's like to be in the portal.

So I interviewed Lloyd for a story Michigan week because he on the Sunday night when the

band comes in at practice and the Ohio State players grab instruments and they have a lot of fun

with that. He was one of the people who got up on the ladder and directed the band, and I thought,

wow, what a cool thing for a walk on kid from Northeast Ohio to get to do. It's kind of his personality

is really outgoing, kind of high energy guy. And then when I saw who's in the portal, I thought,

you know, I like talking to him before I think you guys are like hearing from him. So this is about

a half-hour podcast, a little bit of his background, how he got to Ohio State, and then like, now what

do you do when you're in the portal? What it's like? How do the schools contact you? What's your

relationship with your current team while you're in the portal, all that kind of stuff? A little bit

from Lloyd about, hey, you know, the receivers he's covered in practice while working with the scout

team, that kind of thing. So we're going in the portal with Lloyd McFarquare, and we jump right in

to this podcast. He's sort of explaining the decision to consider transferring what that was like
