Hey, this is Beth. What we live for at Living Proof is to serve people the word of God. We base our ministry on Hebrews 412 that tells us that the word is alive and active.

2 Corinthians chapter 3. I'd like to begin reading at verse 1 and I'd like to go all the way through until we get to four one

Now if I end at the end of three and I didn't mention the first verse of four you need to stop me because I need to go back. It's too important.

And please understand that those chapter breaks are not necessarily under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit as the rest of scripture is.

So they just added that in for our understanding and to organize our thoughts, but I want

to take us one verse further because I think it's terribly connected

to what comes before it.

Second Corinthians, chapter 3, I'm reading all the way through.

Now would you allow this to seep into the marrow as we read it

together? Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need like some

people letters of recommendation too you are from you. You yourselves are our letter,

written on our hearts known and read by everybody. You show that you are a letter from

Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink, but with the spirit of the

living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts. Such confidence as this

is ours through Christ before God.

Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves,

but our competence comes from God.

He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant, not of the

letter, but of the spirit. For the letter kills, but the spirit gives life. Now, if the ministry that brought death which was engraved in

letters on stone came with glory so that the Israelites could not look

steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory fading fading though it was?
