Hey everybody, we're up an hour here and today we have a two and a half hour interview

by Lex Friedman of Elon Musk to discuss we'll walk through the big takeaways there and

I'll put the link down in the show notes if you want to watch the entire thing I would

recommend it.

Also got a handful of updates from analysts as we now head into the final days of the fourth

year and a little bit of news on China and a couple of other things as well.

Pretty quiet day for Tesla stock today finishing down half a percent to one thousand eighty

eight dollars forty seven cents while the NASDAQ also finished down right around half a

percent.

So let's get into this Elon Musk interview as I said it's a link the interview so I'll

do my best here to summarize the main takeaways we'll focus mainly on Tesla related items

they did start off talking about SpaceX the recent inspiration for mission then Starship

and Mars and from those sections I think a couple things worth passing along first off

he said that engine production is the biggest Starship related problem right now as we

have heard prototypes are easy production is hard so Elon reiterating that point with

Starship but he says quote at this point I do think we will get Starship to work and

quote and that the physics pencil out so even though at one point during the podcast Elon

did give his little coin optimism pessimism forget that we're gonna make it work though

he does use a different work there but anyway he does seem pretty optimistic that SpaceX

is gonna get Starship to work at some point.
