| 1:14.8 | Suddenly, a blue streak shoots in front of the boat, catching the girl's attention. |
| 1:19.3 | It's a bird, a kingfisher, disappearing into its nest near the bank. |
| 1:23.3 | And that gives Charles an idea. |
| 1:25.3 | With the girl stunned into silence by the blue bird, |
| 1:28.6 | Charles resumes rowing, but this time he begins telling a story as he works the oars. |
