Summary

In Leviticus 8-10, we take a break from law school to focus on the priests' ordination. As we see the grand opening of the tabernacle for worship and offerings, we need the priests to be ready to handle all the instructions regarding the tabernacle activities. book written 2,000 years ago that can still change your life today.

Welcome to the club.

Well, when last you left us on Bible Book Club, as we are trekking through Lovitticus and law school, as we like to call it, Susan and I affectionately like to call it, we were reviewing all those types of offerings.

And this time, though, was a little different. God was providing the instructions for the priests rather than the people, but after two weeks of law school, we took a break. We were discussing then anthropology, another riveting subject. No, it was riveting. No, it was. It's more riveting than law school. No, I'm just, I tease, I jest. named Mary Douglas, who wrote a book that Susan discovered. And Mary, like me and maybe like

you, was trying to make sense of these sacrifices. Remember, they were a different, a different

1:43.8

rituals, the priesthood, and this

1:46.1

concept of purity. The rituals or sacrifices are to attune for their sins so they can worship God.

1:52.2

The priests are to intercede on the people's behalf and lead them in worship and the laws to

1:57.7

deal with impurity and teach them how to live as God's treasured possession.

2:02.7

Now, the people and the priests have been instructed with all the ritual law they need to begin

2:07.6

worship in the tabernacle. So that section of Leviticus is complete. Remember, we'll go up.

2:14.2

And then in our outline, Atonement is in the middle. And we will cover some of the rituals at the end in a different way.

2:20.7

But for now, we're leaving rituals.

2:22.5

It's time to move into the second section of our outline in Leviticus, which focuses on the priest's ordination.

2:30.7

Now, I have titled this episode, No Room for error, because I feel the priest's pain, and you will find out why there is no room for error in what they have to do.
